About us: The history and values of Sport Kaiser

1. the foundations were laid early on

With his father already working in sports facility construction in beautiful Austria, it was not necessarily surprising for Andi Kaiser that he wanted to try out the ski slopes while helping out with the construction.

Fresh out of ski school, Andi completed his training as a retail salesman. His passion for sport could only be satisfied through many different sports: Surfing (teacher), skiing (teacher), athletics, soccer (coach), inline skating (coach) and, and, and.

It was during his passion for surfing that he finally met his current wife Evi. Unhindered by Austrian jokes, Andi remained steadfast and fell in love not only with Evi, but also with her homeland - the Chiemgau. 

2. the steps towards your own company

From 1988-1997, Andi worked at "Sport Steigenberger" in Aschau i. Ch. After a very short time, Andi also gained a foothold in many clubs in Chiemgau. His involvement ranged from soccer coach to ski club to 1st board member of the Prienliners, including association coach. With the birth of his first son, he moved closer to home and Andi found his working home at "Intersport Erhard" in Prien a.Ch. from 1997 - 2005.

With the good fortune of having a wife who was also a sports enthusiast at his side, Andi fulfilled his lifelong dream and the two of them took over the long-established traditional business in 2005.

3 Sport Kaiser is growing steadily

The trend store "1080" was added in 2008. The major expansion with a professional workshop took place in 2011 and the "Am Mühlbach" branch was opened. For logistical reasons, the store at the train station was added as a second store in 2013 in place of "1080".

4 "One family"

Together, Evi and Andi have 1200 square meters of pure Passion for sport in Prien a.Ch. - plus a SUP rental in the Schafwaschener Bucht in Rimsting - and the next generation is already on board!

5. values and goals

All or nothing. Our philosophy at Sport Kaiser consists of many important points that are interconnected. But we always have to do it with all our heart. Hardly any company can work entirely without using resources, yet we are absolutely committed to promoting sustainability. Mindfulness of nature, respect for people and finding harmony between people and nature are our top priorities. 

6. closure of Bahnhofstrasse

The branch in Bahnhofstrasse has been closed since the end of August and beginning of September. As a larger space became available at the main location, Andi and Evi decided to expand the site. 7. opening of the Mühlbach extension

Looking back on a memorable milestone in our company's history, September 30 marked a very special event for Sport Kaiser. On this day, we celebrated the opening of the extended area of our main location with many friends. With a lot of passion and commitment, we have not only enlarged the premises, but also equipped them with special features that offer our customers an even better shopping experience.

New features include barrier-free access via an elevator for wheelchairs, which has allowed us to open our doors even wider to all sports enthusiasts. One highlight is undoubtedly the newly equipped Barwhich our customers can now enjoy with an aromatic Coffee can relax and exchange ideas. We have also set up a second checkout to speed up the shopping process for our customers and make it more convenient.

For the adventurous and Climbing fans we have installed a climbing wall. We have also increased the number of changing rooms to offer our customers more comfort and privacy when trying on clothes.

The opening ceremony was a complete success and a wonderful moment to celebrate the new possibilities and the expanded space together with our customers. It was a day full of joy, encounters and sporting inspiration that will remain a vivid memory.
